Mount Etna, Italy's highest volcano, has been activated. The eruption began on Friday (May 20) at Mount Etna but erupted on Sunday (May 22). News from the BBC.
The entire island of Sicily is shrouded in black smoke and ash, with images of Mount Etna erupting more than once a year. Experts from the lava flow captured on camera said the burning lava was heading towards the Lyon Valley.
At an altitude of about 2,000 feet, the volcano erupts lava at different times of the year but does not cause much damage to residents. Earlier, in 1992, there was a massive eruption from the volcano.
